Im living in South Borneo. Borneo Island. One of the beautiful provinces in Indonesia. A very original and unique cultural heritage, called The Floating market.

Floating market is a market where merchandise is sold from boats. Originating in times and places where water transport played an important role in daily life, most floating markets operating today mainly serve as tourist attractions, and are chiefly found in Indonesia.

The colorfully clad merchants at these lively markets paddle along in sturdy canoes laden with fresh fruit and vegetables to sell to shoppers. There is lots of chatter and activity bargaining is common, that's all part of the fun.

However, the floating market here has particularly into its own uniqueness in comparison with other places, because here there are two sites with the characteristics of each.



  In South Borneo, "Muara kuin" and "lokbaintan" Floating market are already famous around the world.

for the floating market Kuin here we can see the culture of buying and selling merchandise and Banjarnes traditional foods, the location isn't too far from downtown.

and for Lokbaintan floating market, its location must be achieved at a boat trip from the city about 45 minutes. I made this site as a tourist favorite because of its uniqueness. cast of colorful clothes and fruits are in trading at very attractive here.

as the world's oldest floating market, they are still embracing barter system among fellow sellers here. what a wonderful tradition, isn't it?
